THE SPACE OF GOOD

Our little home. Our little homme. Our little om.

We're headed to Hawaii until the 26th. In the meantime, some new pictures in L-Train. Then, I start work again...

More new pics and video in L-Train. I'm on a roll!

Here's a beautiful article.

And here's a beautiful video. (that makes me smile)

And new photogs in SAL not at all like dis one.

Busy weekend- Linus and I went to my sister Hannah's graduation (Congratulations!) and Steve visited his Dad and brothers in Houston. He got stung by a bee. He's planning on putting some pictures up tonight from his trip, maybe he'll tell about his sting as well. New pics right now in L-Train and backwords. Also, articles addressing Dr. Tiller's murder in SAL.

New pictures in L-Train Monday, May 11th 2009

Oof, it has been a busy week of family. We are babysitting my uncle's nine-month old son Jack tonight, and will hopefully maybe take some pictures?

In other news, one of our tiny cute little geckoes had escaped about 6 weeks ago, and we had seen no sign of it. He is only about an inch and a half long, so we had pretty much given up on him. And I found him yesterday, alive! Just chilling on the dryer.

Finally, Spring has arrived- what a wonderful weekend. It's enough to make you want to monkey around in a wall of ivy, a tree, and  a wall. More pictures in L-Train.

One of my favorite videos of Linus in L-train, and in Our Home, a front walk that is slowly being revitalized.

We've reoriented and are starting to work on the yard. This might be because we are watching my parents rascally little puppy, and it's easier to be outside all day. Heh. Pictures to come, and days and days of work await us.

I think I have finally captured a typical nightime routine. It started with the men deciding to shave off their winter beards, and ended with monkey shouts. Pretty much standard. Please enjoy the best video ever in L-Train, some goofy pictures of our family in Our Home, and have a great three day weekend.

Linus is a super dancer in L-Train.

The big news: we are getting internet at home! That might facilitate more writing here. I might be reorganizing the links to the right a bit. Might, might might.

Also, has anyone been reading the stories I've been posting in SAL? If so, let me know- shoot me an email at levatrice @ gmail . com

Tonight is homemade lasagna and hijack the camera night! In the meantime, please enjoy some reading in SAL.

The boys have accumulated about four cameras, and have more pictures than they know what to do with, but! We have no internet at home, and I can't just steal their pictures and bring them to work. So, this is the delay. On to other, more quotidian news, in Our Home.

Update: and some reading in SAL.

Pictures and stories to peeter out slowly (as is my style).

Last night, Sydney came over and we planned to drink some port and paint in Linus' room. Around 8 o'clock, I decided I would try to put Linus to sleep in my bed so we could work in his room and he could make his bedtime. I warned Sydney it might take half an hour or so, and she made herself comfortable.

He resisted at first- he wanted to wiggle around and play and the novelty of sleeping in our bed was a great time. Finally, he started to relax, and I (feeling wide awake) watched him as he relaxed in the crook of my arm and fell asleep.

And that's the last thing I remember. At ten o'clock, I woke up just in time to say goodbye to Sydney, who had just bustled around and made herself at home. HA.

Anyways, I've been delinquent- much has happened. Steve and Travers are in Los Angeles tonight, spending time with my little sister Hannah. Houston was wonderful, and I need to mop the floor tonight before Sydney, Linus, and I leave for Bend after work tomorrow. Hopefully I won't sleep through the car ride.

Wednesday Jan 7, 2009

We leave tomorrow night. And Steve will be snatching my camera, for two weeks. Not that I've been an exemplary picture-sharer recently, but I can promise you there will be a lack of any pictures in the next two weeks. I will be filling my time and this space with words, and sharing some of the things in the past year that made an impression- most often, in SAL. Starting today.

All of a sudden, we're on the cusp of filling our home with good friends. We're taking some travels through January, and I'll have information about that in SAL (Steve, Alex, Linus).

Linus had a great holiday season. I think the standout excitement was a new dumptruck that he can ride. He also very much enjoys the box it came in, as you can see in L-Train.

Happy New Year.

(This is Linus last night- he built a little tower of stuffed animals in his crib, and curled up on the tippy top to sleep.)
